Our Story
Carolina Iron started as a pipe dream. From our first to last purchase
ever piece has a story. We currently have a little over 60 pieces, but in the process of narrowing down
the best of the best wasn't just 60 purchases. We have equipment from 18 different states, many of which
came from trading equipment to get nothing but the best.
Rain or Shine
Whatever the weather, the trip must go on. This was in January 2024 where we picked up 5 pieces, 2 from New York, 3 from Maryland.
No matter where it is, we'll get it
We have accumulated pieces from garages, gyms, farms, backyards, and places we can't describe. This was taken in Memorial Stadium home of the Indiana Hoosiers. We won an auction and picked up a few pieces from the stadium.
Transportation
When we first started collection equipment, there was no trailer. We went from struggling to put the machines in the bed of the pickup, to then a trailer, and finally to renting Penske Trucks for equipment to big or heavy for the truck to handle.
No matter how far
We have driven over 40,000 miles for equipment. Some trips have been multiple days sleeping in the car when breaks are needed. Carolina Iron is proud to have equipment from 18 different states.
We Will Not Settle
Although I'm extremely proud of our accomplishments. Trying to have the best gym in the state requires never settling. There will always be improvements needed to make Carolina Iron the gym the Upstate deserves. There are going to be many upgrades needed, whether it's the facililty, equipment, or for member satisfaction; we will never settle. I can ensure you, we already have plans in place to make sure we will live up to being the Upstate's Bodybuilding Mecca.
